Junior Basketball (ages 3~17)
GCCRBA holds a weekly junior competition, with the main season running from February to September and the Summer League running from October to December.
As a result of the limited venue capacity, players will only be able to participate in one team in 2018 and this must be in their own age group.
We have introduced an Open Girls competition (division one only) this season which will see each team being able to field players from the U13-U17 age group that play at a high level. These players are the only players that will have an exemption not to play in their own age group.
It will be optional for all current under 12 and under 14 representative players to participate in the 2018 club season due to their representative season not finishing until June 2018. These players will be given an exemption to trial for the 2018/2019 representative season.
Competitions Venues and Age Groups:
Wednesday: Under 20 Men – Somerset College
Thursday: Under 17 Boys Division One and Open Girls Competition – Somerset College
Friday: Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 Boys and Girls Competition- The Southport School, Tallebudgera Recreation Centre, Somerset College, Emmanuel College, Hillcrest Christian College
Saturday: Under 9’s, Under 11’s – Somerset College, Emmanuel College
New players are welcome to join at any time of the year. One of the greatest things about basketball is that despite what the weather is doing outside you always know your game won't be affected. To find a team simply click on the "Join Basketball - Club Contact Details" tab at the top of this page and find the nearest club to where you live.
