PAYMENT POLICY AND BANK DETAILS 2022/23

SENIOR MBBI COMPETITION PLAYERS
There are 4 fees.
Memberships.
There are two membership fees. Basketball Queensland (BQ) Registration is 365 days. MBBI Registration is Seasonal. All memberships must be paid in advance through Basketball Connect, Links for registration are accessed online via our website Moreton Bay Suns https://websites.mygameday.app/assoc_page.cgi?assoc=4830
Memberships entitles paid-up members to register into a MBBI competition/season and Basketball Qld competitions e.g., QSL and Southern Qld Junior Basketball Competition (SQBJC formerly BQJBC).
Basketball Qld: 2022/23 $71.61: This covers insurance both injury insurance and public liability in case a player accidentally injures a spectator or a member of the public. It is covers admin costs of BQ, costs representing the sport to government bodies, membership database and software, development of referees etc.
Moreton Bay Basketball: 2022/23 $50.00: This covers administration costs, running office equipment, iPads for scoring, training referee, Association Affiliation fees to BQ, etc.
Team Nomination Fees.
Each team delegate must register the team online and pay the nomination fee before team members can play in the season. This sets up the team into the current season. In 2022/23, this fee is $45. The team delegate must advise by email to all team members to invite them to the team to enable team players to register into that team for that season.
Senior Player Registration
Seasons run for 6 months. To register into a season, there is no fee, however, the above fees and processes must be paid prior to registration into a season. You will need to be invited as mentioned above to register into a season/team.
Senior Games Fees
Game fees remain at $100 per game per team for Summer 2022/23 Season. This must be paid BEFORE each game. Payments must be made at the MBBI office on game night. Payments will be by debit or credit card. One payment per team. For staff security reasons, there are no more cash transactions.
JUNIOR MBBI COMPETITION PLAYERS
There are 3 fees.

Season Registration/Game Fees.
Seasons run for 6 months and this fee covers game costs: court costs, balls, referees’ payments. This fee can be paid in full online. Currently, Our Summer 2022/2023 Season Game fees to be paid in full online are $350.
Please note: Winter 2020 season was supposed to run January to June 2020 but due to Covid-19, it ran to September. At that time, it was decided that the seasons would now align with School terms i.e., Summer Season October to March and Winter Season April to September. It is also hoped this will reduce the post-Christmas financial stress for members and alleviate the issues of organising teams and competitions over the long Xmas break.
2nd Season Game fees are payable by any junior player playing in more than one junior competition team. The cost for playing in a second team is $175 for Summer 2022/23 Season. Please note that ALL PLAYERS must play in their correct age group before they will be allocated to a second team in a higher division/age group. This will mean occasionally due to game schedule clashes a player can only play one game on a night. Similarly, as many players are also refereeing and/or coaching, they may also sometimes get only one game per night. Thus, the reduce fee for the second team. It is too difficult to try to manipulate the draw to ensure as many games as possible as is it greatly affected by the referee draw which is done each week. There is not enough time between the referee draw and the game night to make changes to Games Draw and/or ensure that everyone is aware of late changes.
Seniors and Junior MBBI Fees
All Moreton Bay Basketball fees are refundable only on application to the Board.
BQ Membership is at the decision of BQ Policy.
Allow 24 to 48 hours for payment to process online and EFT payments.
QSL, SQBJC and State Championship Players
These three competitions are administered and run by BQ with the assistance of local associations such as MBBI and are for elite athletes who wish to extend themselves into a higher level of competition. Only paid-up members of MBBI and BQ may compete.
Selection is by try outs that will be advertised on our website. If selected, an offer to compete will be issued but memberships must be paid-up before acceptance.
QSL and SQBJC Season fees will be determined by the Board and will include costs including team nominations to BQ, game fees, court hire for competition and training, referee payments etc. This fee will be invoiced and must be paid within 21 days of issue of invoice. SQBJC fee may be split over 2 invoices throughout the season/competition.
State Championship Players must have competed in the SQBJC competition and have all fees paid up. On application to the board and in special circumstances, a paid-up member may be invited to compete in the State Championships although he or she did not compete in the SQBJC.
State Championship fees will be determined by the Board in conjunction with team managers and coaches and will include additional training fees, court hire fees, nomination fees to BQ, travel costs, accommodation costs, food costs, photo costs etc. This fee will be invoiced and must be paid within 21 days of issue of invoice.
