QBL GRAND FINALS
Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be this season for the Global Product Search Meteorettes and McDonald's Meteors with both sides going down in this past weekends grand finals.
The Meteorettes pushed eventual champs the Brisbane Spartans in 2 hotly contested games losing by 2 and 4 points respectively. Congratulations to the Spartans on an undefeated season and heaps of praise for the Global Product Search Meteorettes for making them earn it.
The McDonald's Meteors lost in a fantastic 3 game series at a sold out McDonald's Mackay Stadium. Congratulations to the Townsville Heat on their victory, but our boys can hold their heads high playing basically the whole series without MVP Shaun Bruce who suffered an ankle injury early in game 1. Special mention must go to captain Chris Cedar for a sensational 50 point effort in game 3.
Big thanks to all the people involved in making the year the success that it was.
Players, coaches, support staff, sponsors, volunteers, and most important the fans, THANK YOU ALL!! We hope to see you all back at the "CRATER" next year.
