Scoring the winner against St Mirren was probably the best goal of my career and we had to dig in to get the victory. 

We didn't play well in the first half and going down to nine men was tough, really tough, but we kept going and were fortunate enough to get the goal when we did. 

There's always a chance of winning when you are level, whether you are down to eight men, nine or whatever, there's always that prospect and I was delighted when my header hit the back of the net. 

St Mirren dominated us and they were pressing and pressing and trying to get a goal and in a way, that probably worked to our advantage as we were able to hit on the break. 

They committed that many bodies forward that when it came to getting our goal, myself, Nacho Novo and Naisy were all able to get forward. 

That worked to our advantage and Naisy fired in a fantastic cross that I was able to get on the end of. Looking back, it was probably the only time we managed to get away from them because they had nine and 10 men behind the ball when they needed to. 

When we got our goal, we were three against three and it was incredible we managed to do that given our situation. That goal is up there with the most memorable and important I've scored. I went straight into the crowd because it was a relief more than anything else – it doesn’t get much better than scoring a winner in a Cup final.

It was a fantastic result for the Club and we now turn our attention to the Scottish Cup tie at Dundee Utd on Wednesday.
