Congratulations Under 12 Div 1 Boys at the 2012 State Championships

Congratulations to the Under 12 Div 1 Boys and Coach Al Green for finishing third at the State Champs this weekend.
The boys only lost one game over the weekend. They will now be competing in the Melbourne Classics. We wish them well.
Great work Mark, Riley, Brandon, Robert, Daniel, Luka, Darcy, Connor and Toby.

Congratulations - Alex Mudronja - MVP at TI Camp & U12 SAPSASA State Team Representative

Congratulations to Alex Mudronja who participated in the April Holidays in the TI Development Damp Alex was awarded MVP for the U12 boys.  He has also just made the SAPSASA STATE TEAM with 10 boys who have been chosen from the state to represent South Australia and he will be going to Canberra for the Nationals in August.  Well done on both of these amazing achievements Alex.


Congratulations - State Player U16 Girls - Mickey Lappin

A little over 4 months ago Mickey and over 80 under 16 girls 1st and 2nd year players tried out for State Basketball The first cut was too 30, then to 21...Mickey survived 2 months ago the group was cut to 15, this become known as the squad, So for 2 months the girls trained every Sat, Sunday, and trial games sometimes during the week. The State coach and assistants also come out to district games to get a better feel for the players.  On Saturday the team got cut to 10... this was to be the final cut....Mickey made the Cut!  The state team is represented by Woodville, 1 from West, 2 from Sturt, 2 from Forestville, 2 from Norwood, 2 from Rockets.   Mickey will represent SA in the Under 16s Australian Basketball championships in Kilsyth VIC from SAT 9th July-Sat 16th July 2011.  Congratulations Mickey on this amazing achievement.


Congratulations - Under 12 Div 1 Boys - Grand Finalists in State Championships 2011

The under 12 div 1 boys competed in state champs this weekend. They came runners up only Losing to Sturt in the Grand Final. The boys played great all weekend. Congratulations to Mark, Mathew, Riley, Connor, Ethan, Tyson and Theo.  Congratulations and thanks to Karen winter for coaching the boys to the Grand Final and making the Classics in Melbourne.
