U16 Women Pool A - SA Country v NSW Country


NSW scored early off two SA Country turnovers to get out to a 4-0 lead within the first minute. A quick time out saw SA Country come out with something to prove as they evened overcame the early deficit to be up by 1 at the quarter and then extended this to seven at the half.

The foul count was building in the third as both teams got into foul trouble early forcing both coaches to sub accordingly. But SA managed to go into the final term with an 11 point lead thanks to the efforts of Olivia Thompson and Alex Wilson.  NSW’s showed guts & determination in the final quarter getting the lead back to 2 points thanks to a 2 point field goal by Jessica Ward. With both teams being cheered on by vocal supporters, it was SA Country who triumphed in the end winning by 5.

U16 Men Pool B – NSW Metro v SA Country


The first half saw SA Country come out attacking the basket well whilst NSW’s outside game saw them up by 2 at the half. The second half saw a change in NSW defence as SA went on the attack. Cool heads from NSW saw them retain their lead. But when SA lost one of their players in Chad Wingard, NSW took advantage ending the 3rd up by 11. SA couldn’t recover in the fourth quarter as NSW ended the game with a 20 point win. SA Country's Dylan Rawson continued his good form from Day 1.

U16 Women Pool A – SA Country v VIC Metro


SA Country, playing their second game for the day, jumped out to an early lead of 14 points before Vic Metro scored. The second quarter saw VIC come back into the game as they outscored SA 21-13 to be down by 2. In the third quarter Vic started to take control going out to a 51-45 lead. From then on VIC Metro took control as they took the game 71-55
