Our Stadium

The Ringwood Basketball Association home is The Rings, formerly the Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre, a fully airconditioned four court stadium.  The complex underwent a major refurbishment in 2013.

The Rings is situated on the southern side of Canterbury Road between Heatherdale and Wantirna roads, in the suburb of Ringwood, some 25 kilometres east of Melbourne. Take the Canterbury Road exit off Eastlink. It is directly across the road from the Cadbury chocolate factory and is adjacent to the Ringwood Public Golf Course.

The four-court facility was completed in early 1995 by the Maroondah City Council, after several years of negotation between the Ringwood Basketball Association, the Council and their predecessor, the Ringwood Council, to build a multi-purpose indoor sports facility to cater for the burgeoning growth of basketball and other floor sports in the region, such as netball and volleyball. The facilities are managed by Maroondah City Council's Leisure Group in a unique arrangement with Ringwood Basketball Association.

In 2013 the complex underwent a major upgrade.  New adjustable rings and backboards were installed and a new state of the art, Helsinki 10 flooring system installed. A video showing this upgrade can be seen by clicking here.

Further upgrades are planned to keep the complex at the forefront of basketball in Victoria.  The Rings can be contacted on (03) 9298 4487.
