VJBL Junior Hawks

Players playing with Clubs in our Junior Saturday competition (GEBC) are eligible for selection in our Ringwood Hawks junior representative teams, where they represent our Asssociation against teams from other similar Associations in Victoria at an elite level.

Players are selected at the beginning of each season following selection trials. The junior representative competitions are conducted on Friday nights by the Victorian Junior Basketball League on a home and away basis at venues throughout the greater Melbourne area and nearby country venues. The competition season is divided into three phase over the year, commencing with a non-competitive Development or 'Spring' phase from October to mid-November, a Grading phase from mid-November to March with a break over the Christmas/New Year school holidays and the 'Championship' phase from March until early September.

Players wishing to play in our representative program should first enlist with one of the Clubs in our domestic competition, and watch our championship players training and competing so that they can become familiar with the skill and intensity level that is required for selection. Interested parents of prospective players should email us for further information if you believe your children already have what it takes to play at this level.
