The main role of the Technical Advisor is to encourage, educate and evaluate all referees and technical officials within the Association. 

Sharon is a veteran in Australian refereeing ranks and has a very impressive sporting resume with some of her career highlights being

  • 1999 Gold Cup (Wheelchair) World Championships
  • 2000 Paralympic Games (Sydney)
  • 2002 Women’s World Championships (China)
  • 2004 Paralympic Games (Athens) GOLD Medal game
  • 2006 World Wheelchair Championships (Amsterdam) GOLD Medal game
  • 2008 Paralympic Games (Beijing)
  • Over 200 games in the WNBL
  • Sharon has been refereeing for 37 years and has officiated NBL, WNBL, SEABL, and international games. Many junior referees and young referees will have seen Sharon referee or perhaps even have refereed with her. Sharon hopes this familiarity will allow referees to be comfortable with her and voice their concerns

Working With Children Checks

Do you have a current Working With Children's Card ????

All referees who are 18 years old or over MUST HAVE a current Working With Children's check to be able to referee at Kilsyth Basketball.

Referees must arrange to have their interview for the WWC once they turn 18 and before they referee on their allocated session.
