RollerHawks New Import

High Lube Roller Hawk's new Spanish Import, 23 year old Jesus Romero Martin is a midpointer (3.0) born in Torre
del Mar, Malaga
Spain (southern Spain). His Spanish Club is Fundacion Polaris World BSR and this his first visit to Australia.

He has been playing Wheelchair Basketball for 9 years but only started to train seriously in the past six. He has played in the Spanish National Junior team the past 3 years, has played in 2 Euro cups and won the last Euro cup.

He has also played 1 Jr world cup

He is an avid football of course and not surprisingly Real Madrid is his favourite team.

He came to Australia to play "for a new experience, to learn and improve my game and  also to enjoy the Aust League and the country."

He has played Darren Skuse this year at Fundacion Polaris World BSR, and previously withBrett Stibners and Shaun Groenewegen. He also played against Robert Pike and Brant Garvey in the Spanish Liga

When asked "What do you want to achieve from playing in Aust?" he replies "I hope to learn a lot for playing this league
and playing with the Highlube Roller Hawks, also playing with people like Tristan Knowles, Brett Stibners and Andrew Flavell who all have played for the Australian side and in Olympic games and various tournaments. The calibre of the players that play in the Roller Hawks will improve my game."

Where would you he like to be in 5 yrs?

"I hope in 5 yrs I could be part of a World Cup or an Olympic gold winning Spanish National Side.
