Welcome to 2016
Happy New Year and welcome back or if you are new to the Ormond Netball Club we welcome you and hope you enjoy your time with the club.
We have 17 teams playing this season, which starts on Friday 12 February for the Under 11s and on Saturday 13 February for all other teams.
The Club has a weather policy for training sessions, which states that if the temperature is above 35 degrees or if persistent rainfall has made conditions unsafe, the coach may choose to cancel training. The coach will notify you if this is the case.
The cancellation of matches is at the discretion of the CDNA. All teams must turn up expecting to play and if matches are cancelled due to weather conditions, CDNA will notify you at the courts.
As you may be aware, new rules have been implemented worldwide and will be effective for all games this year.
Grading for CDNA’s 2016 Winter season will take place after Round 3.
Scoresheets & Duties
Please ensure that scoresheets are correctly filled out. Team Managers have been forwarded the guidance provided by CDNA. This same example is on the back of the scoreboards. A couple of things to note is all injuries must be noted on the back of the scoresheet at the end of the game, make sure you do not cross out the name of any player if they are just not playing that week as this means the player is no longer playing that season will be removed from the CDNA list.
Team Managers will keep an eye on the website for their team’s duties but if all team members check this as well on the CDNA website hopefully it won’t be missed. PLEASE NOTE: Fines apply to the club if the scoresheet is incorrect or duties are not carried out.
All players playing for Ormond are required to wear their Ormond uniform. Please ensure that players are wearing white socks or the team socks. No bike shorts are to be seen under skirts so no long bike pants and try to get the boy leg type briefs. As it gets cooler U11 girls are allowed to wear white long sleeve tops under uniform. NO t-shirts under the uniform.
Code of Conduct
Please make sure that you are across both the ONC Code of Conduct policy which is on the ONC website and also the CDNA Code of Conduct available on their website. If there are concerns about behaviour during a match this needs to be reported to the umpires at the time. If required the Coaches and Team Managers will escalate to the Court Supervisor on duty at the time. It is too late to send an email the next day or week.
If you have feedback or queries that you feel should be brought to the attention of the Club committee, please email these to email@example.com. All issues will be discussed at the next committee meeting and reported back to you via the Secretary or President.
We ask that you refrain from going directly to your coach about such matters.
Thanks for choosing to be involved with Ormond Netball Club, and good luck to all teams in 2016.
