Week Two SDL Results U14 and U22

Tuesday: The U14 Boys SDL entered round two this week with Red beating Navy 84 - 78 and Blue beating White 64 - 40. Quinn Clinton lead the way again for Navy with a huge double-double game scoring 28pts and grabbing 24 Rebounds. Zoran Dela Cruz added 18pts while Micthell Mahan , Jack Lang and Jake Beaven helped out with 10 each. Jaiden Manera answered for Red with 27 points ably assisted by Andrew Nicholson and Zac Walker with 18 each. Red actually lead 63 - 59 at the end of three quarters but a 27 - 13 explosion from Navy in the final quarter took the game away. In the other game Blue defeated White 64 - 50 (no scorers available)

Player of the week Quinn Clinton 28 points and 24 Rebounds

Tuesday: In the U22 Mens SDL Red got their first win on the back of a return from Wellington of NZ U20 point guard Matt Campbell. Matt scored 28 points grabbed 15 rebounds, snatched 7 steals and handed out 4 assists in a tidy first up effort. Taylor Britt scored 16points including 3  three pointers while Jahnim Campbell had 15 points. George Love scored 11pts an pulled down 16 boards. For Navy Nick Erwood was the best with 16pts and 17 rebounds, Ihaka Pink had 15pts and Kieran Ball 14pts and 18 rebounds. Final Score Red 78 - Navy 63.

In the other game White broke the game open in the second with a 28 to 14 quarter and held on to win 80 - 62. Leading scorers were: Blue Nathan Campbell 18pts, Harley Campbell 14 and Alex Irvine 10. For White Jozef Knottenbelt lead the way with 23points, James Cawthorn had 19pts and Oli Davies 15. Final Score White 80 - Blue 62. White leads the competition 2-0, Red 1-1, Blue 1-1 and Navy 0-2

Player of the week Matt Campbell 28points, 15 rebounds, 7 steals and 4 assists.

Thursday: U14 Girls SDL round two at Bishopdale YMCA. Red got off the a better start in week two with a      75 - 59 win over Navy. Rachel Pullan had a huge game with 27 points assisted by Olivia Clark with 15 points and Tendai Musesugwa with 10. For Navy Juliet Robertson and Jessie Tyrell has 12 each while Connie Taylor and Alana Wouters had 10.

In the other game White was again dominant lead by Esra McGoldrick who had 24points while Rosie O'Shea had 16 Emily Stewart 13 and Stephanie Burnby 13. For Blue Rose Clarkson ran in 18 points and Gemma Hickson had another good outing with 14. Final Score 70 - 4

Player of the week Rachel Pullan 27 points.
