Myths
â Volunteering needs to take up all your time â In fact jobs are flexible, some requiring just 1 hour per week, other once every few weeks and others possible as joint roles with other people
â I canât help out because I canât make it down to trainings / match days or meetings â Many roles require face time at trainings/matches and meetings however others can be done by email/phone/computer at home/work/in your lunch break
â Only experienced footyheads can help because they know what to do â There are countless people from the club and the league as well as great resources available to assist you. Additionally, your personal skills from work or home could be invaluable to the club.
The Greatest myth of all â The club will be fine without my help.
We need everyones help to share the roles and create the best environment for the players. You will find it intensely rewarding as you see your children enjoy their football and develop personally/ physically as a direct result of your involvement.
