Basketball SA is pleased to announce the SA Metro and SA Country Under 16 and Under 18 Men's and Women's State teams for 2007. Basketball SA congratulates all players, coaches, assistant coaches and managers on being selected to represent their state, and wishes them well at the national championships.

Two of the head coaches of this year's state teams are also Central ABL head coaches. Liam Flynn makes his debut with the SA Metro Under 16 Men, and has also made the transition from juniors to seniors this year with Sturt's men. Damian Weeks has coached the SA Metro Under 18 Women for a number of years, and made a return to senior level this year with Norwood's women.

Both Sturt's men and Norwood's women have a large proportion of club juniors, all of whom are getting great opportunities to play at a higher level. Damian and Liam are both doing a stellar job of balancing the commitments of coaching at both levels, as are Lynne Holland and Troy Schroeder, who also coach or assist at both state and ABA levels.

The Under 16 National Championships run from June 30 to July 7 in Gosford, NSW, and the Under 18 National Championships run from July 7 to July 14 in Launceston, Tasmania. Full team lists for SA Metro and SA Country teams are available here.
