Shooting Association of Fiji of which Glenn is the current President, does not have an Olympic Trap in Fiji and so more reason for Fiji to be proud of his achievements especially as his participation at the Olympic Games was only confirmed three weeks ago.
Glenn’s performance was commended by both FASANOC President Vidhya Lakhan and Interim Prime Minister, Voreque Bainimarama who were on hand to witness Glenn’s perfect 25/25 score on the final day. His performance was duly recognised at a Fiji function held last evening co-hosted by FASANOC and the Government of Fiji.
Glenn has been fortunate to have been a recipient of the IOC Olympic Scholarship for Beijing 21008 program that has assisted him financially in his preparations and participation at various world-wide events.
The sport of Shooting will be greatly encouraged by Glenn’s performance and augurs well for the future of the sport. A young athlete will represent Fiji in Shooting at the Commonwealth Youth Games to be held in Pune in September and also at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in January 2009.
