Stuart Buckley booted 7 majors and was one of ten goal-kickers for the table topping Eastern Swans. In his 85th game in his career and just his 17th senior match, 18 year old Matthew Oakford was again a standout in a best on ground performance for the red and white.
Oakford was well supported by half-back flanker Mitchell Cook and fellow on-baller Andrew Leithhead.
The Swans could have done a lot more damage if their 44 scoring shots were on target and no doubt something Coach Brad McLaren would of addressed with his troops post-match and throughout training this week.
Mackay City Hawks 30.17 (197) defeated Bakers Creek 2.3 (15)

Scott Brown and Michael Polkinghorne led the way for the second placed Hawks, as the home side showed no mercy against the 7th placed Tigers at Harrup Park.
Hawks forward Brodie Saltmarsh recorded his fifty goal for the season with 6 majors, which took his season tally to 55. Saltmarsh is now 4-goals shy of 150 career goals which has come from an impressive 46 career games.
Unfortunately Bakers Creek couldn't match their well structured opponents with the Hawks recording 9 individual goal-scorers for the match.

The Mackay Magpies have come from 30-points down at three quarter time, to snatch victory from the Whitsunday Sea Eagles in Airlie Beach on Saturday.
Magpies ruck Tyson Craig was again exceptional as was Lachlan Ygoa-McKeown along with young up and coming star Darcy Mealy.
However, injured centre half-back Nick Thiele backed up his round 11 goal of the year nomination with another prolific goal late in the final quarter to secure the four premiership points for his side. Magpies captain Jaebyn Drefke was again superb for his side and three goals in the last quarter by midfielder Jeff Neumann contributed to the visitors win.
For the home side Luke McCaul was again a standout along with young ruck/forward Eli Gunders.
