2016 Victorian Junior Club Championships

24th February 2016

The 2016 Victorian Junior Club Championships have come and gone, meaning it is now time to take a look back at the weekend to reflect and celebrate the success that was the 2016 instalment of the event. To kick the reflecting off, Water Polo Victoria would like to say a massive thank you to Julie & John O'Callaghan and their Geelong Marlins volunteers for the tremendous amount of work that was put into the event both prior to and during the weekend. Without the assistance of the Geelong Marlins volunteers, the event would not have been anywhere near the success that it was!

Whilst in thanking mode, it was fantastic to see the smiles on all of the participants faces throughout the weekend with everyone seeming to enjoy the time spent in and out of the water. A huge thank you to all of the participants, their coaches, managers and parents who came along to support the teams for your contributions to this years event.

A special thank you also needs to go to the officials and club volunteers who ensured that each duty was undertaken in a timely fassion. To Michael, Alby and Danny, thank you for ensuring all games ran on time and keeping pool deck in order throughout the weekend.

Congratulations to all participants on your involvement in this years event, with special congratulations going to the place getters and award winners from the weekend. A full list of these can be seen below for your reference. All of the games were played in fantastic spirit, with the medal game scores featured below.

We would also like to remind everyone that the games in Pool 1 on Sunday were Live Streamed by My Sport Live. Footage from these games can be found at http://livestream.com/mysportlive/events/4745021. Thank you to the team at My Sport Live for their involvement in this years event and thanks to Mitch Ivy for commentating throughout the day!

We hope that everyone had a great time at the 2016 Victorian Junior Club Championships and we look forward to your continued involvement in the years to come.
