2016 Winter Competition

The Call for Entries for the 2016 Winter Competitionhas been issued to clubs

Members should contact their club to register their intention to play this season and to ensure they are assigned to teams

  • Commences:           Tuesday 12th April
  • # Rounds:                9 + Finals      (all grades)

  • Dates:                       12-19-26 April 
                                     3-10-17-24-31 May
                                     7 June
  • Entries close:          Tuesday 8th March

  • Age Groups:
      •  Junior Men & Women - 18 & Under   (born 1997 or later)
      •  Youth Boys and Girls - 16 & Under   (born 1999 or later)

  • Scheduling:
      • Tuesday:                  WSL1, WSL2, WSL3, JnrW, YthG
        • MSAC and Melb High
        • JnrW              depending on entries, teams may be included in WSL2
      •                                but will play separate finals
      • Wednesday:             MSL1, MSL4, JnrM, YthB
        • MSAC and Melb High
      • Thursday:                 MSL2, MSL3, MSL5, MSL6
        • MSAC and Melb High
      • O&M games
        • Sundays at Greensborough
  • Finals Series           
      • Tues/Wed/Thurs 14-15-16 June
      • Grand Finals only        (1 v 2)
      • at MSAC
      • O&M   -   where an O&M team is entered in any grade, the final will be played on Sunday 12 June at Greensborough regardless of teams playing – to be confirmed after entries close
  • Rules:
      • NEW FINA RULES - JnrM/W and YthB/G grades only  ie.
        • max 11 players per team
        • 5 field players + goalie (but only 1 nominated goalie required)
        • 25m pool
        • Womens ball (W6009) all grades
