2018 Autumn Leagues Information

REGISTRATIONS NOW CLOSED

NEXT LEAGUE STARTS 31/7/2018 (WINTER LEAGUES)

The 2018 Wellington Basketball (WB) Autumn Leagues commence the 8th of May. All games are played at the ASB Sports Centre, 72 Kemp Street Kilbirnie.

Registrations close Monday 30th April 2018. If grades fill beforehand those will close sooner.

Men's D-Grade (DIV 1, DIV 2, DIV 3, DIV 4)

Men’s Open Grade (Men's A, B and C)

Competition Details

  • Tuesday Competition Starts, 8th May. Ends, 3rd July 2018.

  • Wednesday Competition Starts, 9th May. Ends, 4th July 2018.

  • 9 week season

  • No Men’s A/B Grade players can play in the Men's D-Grade. 

  • Men's D-Grade has 4 grades with space for 8 teams per grade. Each team to choose which division they play in for the entire 9 week season.

  • Men's Open Grade has 4 grades with space for 8 teams per grade. Each team to choose which division they play in for the entire 9 week season.

  • Women's Open Grade has space for 8 teams maximum.

  • Each team will have access to Glory Leagues – Team contact is to make sure each player is registered through Sports TG prior to Friday 4th May 2018.

  • Every game will have allocated 2 Referees and 2 Scorebench personal.

  • The entire Round Robin draw will be published before the start of the season. There will be 7 Round Robin matches and 2 rounds of Finals play (Semi Finals and then Grand Finals).

Registrations, Fees and Non-negotiables

  •  All registrations must be completed using the on-line registration (link provided below). And all players are to be registered through Sports TG (link provided once team contact has registered the team).
  • Team $1000 is to be paid within 7 days of registering (as a lump sum NO part payments). If payment isn't received by the 7th day, your spot will then be reopened to other teams registering.

  • Any players under the age of 19 who play in your team MUST wear a mouthguard.

  • All players need to where a numbered singlet (teams uniforms are to match). If your team requires uniforms we are able to put you in contact with a supplier.

  • If you register your team for a grade and it is already full you will be moved to the next available grade and/or competition. Laura will notify you of this change.

  • Winner of each Adult Mid-Week League will receive $100 off their next Team Entry Fee as their prize for taking out the competition! 

 
 

Registration Fee

Any outstanding fees from previous leagues must be paid before the team's registration will be confirmed.
Team $1000 Fee is to be paid within 7 days of registering.

(If you have a team of 8 players this works out to be $14 per player per game for 9 weeks).

 

Defaults - Defaults not notified prior to 9am on the day of the game will incur a $50 default fine. Please email your default information with a valid explanation to info@wellingtonbasketball.co.nz.

Changes to Draw - We will not be fielding requests for ideal time of play. Teams do not get to dictate when they play.
