WBA Intercity Super League - Steven Adams

This Saturday be entertained and catch all the exciting rim rattling action of the WBA Intercity Super League at the ASB Sports Centre.

Of special interest will be Steven Adams who is briefly in Wellington visiting until he returns to the U.S. to begin his collegiate career at Pittsburgh University under Coach Jamie Dixon. That Steve is allowed to play while here is something very special for basketball fans around Wellington and New Zealand.

You won't be disappointed, see all the future stars, some current stars and other past stars competing in Wellington's premier basketball competition.

Forget about the lawns, leave the dishes, put the washing in the dryer, do the shopping later, heck Pak'n Save Kilbirnie is open 24 hours. So come and see this immensely talented young man display his wares in a team of Wellington's potential future stars. Steve will spearhead the New Zealand Basketball Academy team coached by the WBA's very own development officer Kenny McFadden who has been instrumental through his work for the WBA in developing the skills and talents of the players in the NZBA team.

Teams to watch out for include NZBA, Eagles, NZIS, Toa, Kapiti, Trentham, Wizards, Cavaliers, Heat, All Stars, Fivestar and Tawa.

NZBA will play two games this Saturday 12 May 2012:

  1. 12:45pm against Wellington's very own Heat team (minus Lebron who is unavailable because of his commitments with the Miami Heat) and
  2. 4:30pm against Kapiti who also have a potential future star in young Cody Mason.

If you like watching a fast paced and entertaining sport that won't cost you a cent to watch (YES, admission is FREE), then come down to Wellington's finest indoor sports centre and enjoy all the thrilling action!!

Because the next opportunity you might get to see Steven play may very well be on TV or when he plays for a team like the Miami Heat!! That won't be free but it'll cost you the airfare to get to the States, so go on give those mundane Saturday chores a miss and be the ASB Sports Centre this Saturday to watch Steven play for NZBA in the WBA Intercity Super League.
