Netball NZ - Weekly Update 29/1/16

Greetings everyone,

It has been hot hot hot in Auckland this week, and I write this on a steamy, still Friday.  I am NOT complaining as I personally I love this heat, and the lingering feeling of summer.
The team at NNZ have been making the most of this time with planning and development work to set up the year ahead, along with concluding the reviews and reporting on 2015.  It has been quite cathartic for me, working with the team to finalise our 2015 Annual Report, along with reviewing achievements in each area of the business, and have the realisation with some fresh perspective, just how much we have achieved.
Having had a good break it has been a reality check to assess the level of change we have all managed within the sport over the last 12 months, and prioritise what lies ahead for the year.  Whilst change is a constant, we need to do this in a sustainable way along with resourcing our current business.
The Silver Fern and Silver Ferns Development squads camps held last week were most positive for athletes, coaches and management. The camps provided the opportunities to monitor individual performance against targets set in the camps held in December,  team building, and set objectives for the year head.  It is going to be an exciting year for us as we watch these athletes perform and grow in their respective environments.

Kind regards,

Hilary Poole

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
