In the Saints v Swans game at Varley Oval the Saints' Darren Pithers was charged with breaching law 19.2.2(g)(v) Charging another person in the first quarter. On the prescribed penalty system this was a high grade 2 offence and Pithers was offered a 1 game suspension that he accepted. Pithers was also charged with breaching law 19.2.2(g)(ii) striking another person in the third quarter. On the prescribed penalty system this was a mid grade 3 offence and Pithers was offered a 2 game suspension that he accepted. Pithers is now ineligible to play in rounds 13, 14 and 15.
Also in the Saints v Swans game at Varley Oval the Saints' Jason Gobbert was charged with breaching law 19.2.2(g)(v) Charging another person in the last quarter. On the prescribed penalty system this was a high grade 2 offence and Gobbert was offered a 1 game suspension that he accepted. Gobbert is now ineligible to play in round 13.
In the Nomads v Cats game at NO 1 Oval in Tamworth the Cats' Adam Warner charged with breaching law 19.2.2(c)Using abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene language towards or in relation to an umpire, in the last quarter. On the prescribed penalty system this was a high grade 3 offence and Warner was offered a 2 game suspension that he declined to accept. At the Tribunal on Thursday 6, August Warner was found guilty but of a mid grade 2 offence and was suspended for 1 game. Warner is now ineligible to play in round 13.
