Back to reality last week with 2 from 3. And I got a little kick from the Roo Boy on the Roos web site. Yes Roo Boy it is well and truly noted that the Roos are undefeated and I have only tipped them once.
Game 1- The Eagles will welcome the Bullies to their nest for the grudge match between these to combatants. The Eagles started their season well and then have struggled until last week. A 3 goal loss to the all conquering Roos last week is no disgrace and will put them in good stead for this week. The Bullies on the other hand are a shadow of the team from 2009. They have only won one game this year and that was an away game to the poor old Cats. Having played 3 games at home one would have thought that they should have at least been on 3 wins. Even though the Bullies are coming off the bye the Eagles will win by 16 points.
Game 2- The Roos will be laying in wait for the Nomads this week. As mentioned before I have only tipped the Roos once this year. Well Roo Boy hang onto your tail because your boys WILL win this week. The Nomads are sitting in fourth place at the moment, but have already lost to 2 of the 3 teams above them this year. And I can't see that changing against the Roos. I think the Nomads will play finals again this year but they won't get above fourth. ROO BOYS to win by 43 points.
Game 3- The Saints will play host to the Swans in a replay of last years GF. Some people put a lot emphasis on GF replays, I say who cares. The GF was last year and the Swans won, in Inverell, and if the Saints win this week it won't replace losing the GF last year. The GF is history and both clubs need to look forward not back. I know I have been banging on about it this year but the only reason the Swans are not on top of the ladder is for the sake of 3 points, a 2 point loss to the Roos. Yes the Saints have proven that they will yet again be a force to be reckoned with, but going to Inverell holds no fear for the Swans. This is a hard game to pick and only because it is in Inverell I will tip the Saints by 12 points. But I could easily be wrong.
And this week the Cats get a much needed break with the bye.
Yibbida yibbida thank your mother for the rabbits.
