SG Ball Report - Round 6

The Melbourne Storm Under 18s team have kept their finals hopes alive with a gutsy win over the highly-rated Bulldogs at Belmore over last Saturday. The 26-22 victory leaves the Storm just one point out of the top 8 with their remaining 3 games to be played in Melbourne.


ROUND 3 - SG Ball

This week the U18 Storm boys travel to Sydney to take on the North Sydney Bears, 2pm at TG Milner Oval, Eastwood.

After a dispointing 34-16 loss last week at the hands of the Panthers, the young VIC's will be striving for Victory over the Bears. After leading at half time in their first 2 matches, coach Kim Williams believes that a win is just around the corner as long as the team can maintain their intensity for the full 70 minutes, as well as improve their completion rate.

SG Ball Round 2 Preview

The Melbourne Storm Under 18’s team travel to Penrith on Saturday to take on the Panthers in Round 2 of the SG Ball competition. After a thrilling 18-all draw in Round 1 the young Vics will be keen to get their first win of the season against the perennial powerhouse from the Western suburbs of Sydney.


SG Ball 2012 Round 1 Review


The Melbourne Storm Under 18 team travelled to Kogarah Jubilee Oval last Saturday for the opening round of the 2012 SG Ball competition. In a game that was riddled with errors from both teams due to the atrocious conditions, the Storm and the Dragons shared the points in a thrilling 18-all draw.


SG Ball Update/Team List - Round 1

The Melbourne Storm Under 18 side are entering their final week of preparations for the 2012 SG Ball competition beginning on Saturday Feb 11. The young Storm boys face a tough first month with 4 away games, starting with the Dragons at Kogarah this Saturday at 1.30pm.


2012 Melbourne Storm SG BALL

The Melbourne Storm SG Ball squad have just completed an introductory 5 week training phase in preparation for the 2012 season. A squad of around 40 players aged 15-17 have been training throughout late August and September with a focus on core skills, technique in the gym and conditioning. This training phase culminated in a tour to the Gold Coast last week for 22 of the young Storm hopefuls.
