New King of the Gulf for the monohulls

Ex Quickcat and Australis catamaran sailor and Lloyd's gun crew cleaned up in the monohull racing division. Consistently at the top of the fleet Quarante-Deux held off South Australia sailing royalty in Bob Francis in Renegade from the RSAYS and CYC big gun G-WIZZ Greg Patten (incidentally also an ex multihull sailor)

G-WIZZ with its extremely powerful sail plan and big waterline length was first across the line in all the races but the likes of Quarante-Deux, Renegade, and Port Adelaide Sailing Club stalwart Serge Ambrose, skippering Nina, made it hard for G-WIZZ on handicap.
