Coaching Accreditation

Coaching Accreditation

SSSA encourages all coaches to achieve accreditation in line with the guidelines from Softball NSW and Softball Australia.

We endeavour to support all coaches with training sessions, materials, resources and mentoring.

If you need some advice or have any questions about coaching, please do not hesitate to talk to our Coaching Director, Shane, you can email him via or find him down at the grounds during the season.

Coaching Re-accreditation

Each softball coach accredited (Level 1 and above) under the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) must apply for re accreditation every 4 years, unless they obtain a higher level within that time frame.

During this time they must obtain 100 points in total or 25 points each year. This is earned by coaching teams, training courses, seminars etc. Each coach must maintain a log, complete a code of ethics, coaches agreement and NCAS application form. The log is endorsed by the relevant association, before all forms are sent to Softball NSW for re accreditation.

The SSSA maintains a list of accredited coaches and will let your club now when your accreditation is due for renewal or you can contact the SSSA direct to find out. Remember to be a coach of any representative team you must have an accreditation and the SSSA strongly encourages all coaches to be at least a level 1 coach.

For more information or if you would like a re accreditation package contact the SSSA Coaching Director or download the relevant form below.

Please also take the time to review the Coaches Code of Ethics and you can find the Coaches agreement form there too.
