Welcome to Darling Point Sailing Squadron
Darling Point Sailing Squadron was established in the 1920s on the Wynnum-Manly foreshore and catered mainly for skiffs sailing from Darling Point. A clubhouse was built in the 1950s and moved to Norfolk Point, Manly Boat Harbour when that area of reclaimed land was opened for community clubs and organisations.
'Affordable, friendly sailing on the bay'
DPSS is situated at the northern end of Manly Boat Harbour on Norfolk Point, Manly, Brisbane. We cater for off-the-beach dinghies and skiffs. Look for the bright blue roof on Manly Boat Harbour.
'Family-focussed and fun'
Today, DPSS still thrives on Norfolk Point with regaular Sunday sailing during the Summer season (September to April) and monthly sailing during the Winter season (May to August). We offer Learn to sail courses for adults and children on Sunday mornings, a sailing pathway for those who wish to continue and afternoon racing for the competitive sailors.
'Dedicated volunteers helping others'
Our facilities at DPSS are used by other sailing organisations such as Sailability Bayside who operate Mondays and Thursdays during school terms.
Unfortunately, we do not hire out our clubhouse for private functions or events.
