Swan River Championships - Saturday 16th and Saturday 23rd January
Nominations for this event closed two day ago and we have received 11 boats lining up from tomorrow. If your mind was elsewhere leading you to miss the close-off and you still want to nominate, you might like to contact Julie Adams at email@example.com or give her a call at SOPYC and be prepared to grovel. Also, please let me or Jen Richardson know so that your handicap can be submitted.
Presentations, free sausage sizzle and cheap drinks will commence at SoPYC outside the junior clubhouse at approximately 13:00 (not 12:30 as previously stated) after racing on Saturday 23rd January.
I urge skippers and crews to make an effort to be there to join in the revelry and to support the winners, our fleet and the Association. Quite a bit of work goes into organising these events so your attendance is a sure way of showing your appreciation to the Organising Authority, the volunteers and your committee. Visiting RPYC boats are invited to tie up on the jetty adjacent to the hard stand area, but then it is only a short drive from RPYC.

My email communication list goes to all S80 owners, active skippers, some crew and various interested others. Given that we now have a number of new crew persons in the fleet, skippers may like those names to be included so
they don’t miss out on the riveting stuff I send out each week. Please forward your crew email addresses and I will add them to my list.
Our Facebook page could do with a few more likes and a few more posts boasting your accomplishments (preferably sailing ones), so when you have a moment over that romantic dinner with your significant other, impress him/her by giving us a hit on S80YachtsWA
