Beaten to the title in dramatic circumstances last season, Inglewood are confident they have the right squad to get them to the Top Four Cup again this season.
Coach Taki Nicolaidis believes Bayswater will be their biggest rival this year, having the quality and depth to make it to finals.
“Bayswater have been the most consistent team over the last four seasons and have been very active in their recruiting during the off season,” he said.
“Outside Inglewood I expect ECU, Perth, Floreat and Sorrento to be in the mix come season end.”
Nicolaidis said the key to his club having a good season will be keeping players injury-free.
“We have a few goal-scoring options however we must ensure that we concede less than one goal per game to give us a chance,” he said.
“I know its cliché but every player in our squad has a major role to play. We need everyone consistently performing at their best if were to be successful this season.”
David Cyrus will lead the team as captain this season.
“He shows natural leadership and is respected amongst his peers.” Nicolaidis said.
Inglewood will take on QBE Night Series defending champions Bayswater City in the first round of the PS4 NPL WA season on Sunday at Perth Plasterboard Centre Stadium.
