2013 Australasian Hansa events - Australia & NZ

There is a large calendar of events during the upcoming Australasian summer. With some final details still to be confirmed, we wanted to give you some dates for your diary so you can start to plan your summer of sailing.

Sail Melbourne – December 1st – 8th - Sandringham Yacht Club. Liberty & SKUD18 fleets. NOR and online entry currently available for SKUD fleet. SKUD18 fleet is open to Paralympic and open entries (sailing two centreline seats) and Liberties are also invited for a 5 day sailing program. Sail Auckland (incorporating the New Zealand SKUD18 Championship) – February 1st to 4th - Royal Akarana Yacht Club. Classes sailed will be the 303, Liberty and SKUD 18. Notice of Race and online entry are now available. http://www.sailauckland.org.nz

NSW Hansa Class Championships – February 8th & 9th - Illawarra Yacht Club. 2.3 Singles and Doubles and 303 Singles and Doubles. (Due to depth issues, the Liberty and SKUD18 fleets cannot compete here) Online entry now available.

WA Argonaut Mini Series – February 8th & 9th - Royal Perth Yacht Club. As part of the Argonaut Mini Series, 2.3, 303 and Liberty fleets can compete in this event. Entry now open.

Victorian Hansa Class Championship  February 15th & 16th - Royal Yacht Club of Victoria. Fleets sailed will be 2.3, 303 and Liberty. Online entry now available

Tasmanian Hansa Class Championship – Sunday 2nd March - Derwent Sailing Squadron, Hobart. Fleets sailed will be 2.3 and 303. More details to come.

New Zealand Hansa Class Championships - 22nd & 23rd March - Waitara Boating Club, Taranaki, with the support of Sailability Taranaki. Fleets sailed will be the 2.3, 303 & Liberty. More details to come.

Australian Hansa Class National Championships (incorporating the inaugural South Australian Hansa Class Championship) – April 17th – 21st - Goolwa Regatta Sailing Club.

Organisers are looking for expressions of interest for this event to help with planning the regatta. 2014 Queensland Hansa Class Championships

We are also pleased to announce that we are in the early stages of planning a Queensland Hansa Class State Championship.

Two previously advised events have now been cancelled. Sail Sydney has been cancelled by event organisers and the Masters Games being held in Geelong will not see Hansa fleets competing due to insufficient numbers.
