Firstly, to all those that participated in the survey, thank you!
It is with pleasure we can now release the results of the recent Café Survey to you as the new Squadron Committee elected at the AGM has now had a chance to review the survey data. The graphs depicting the results from the survey are now published on the RANSA web site under the Navy Bear Food heading. We have not published the comments to ensure members privacy as we felt there was personally identifiable information. However, the comments were extremely valuable and noted, and we appreciate your input.
With approximately 130 people across all categories of RANSA membership contributing to the survey we now have a very good picture of what you currently like or enjoy, where there is room for improvement, and suggestions as to where you would like to see the café and catering operation head in the future.
One of the key questions asked was regarding the operating hours. While the majority of respondents did want to see the operation extend its operating hours, as you may be aware this is not just a RANSA decision, but needs approval by Woollahra Council under the terms of our lease to any change beyond the current sailing days arrangement. The Squadron Committee is currently in discussions with the Council regarding this and other matters and at this stage it is status quo.
However, please note that the opening days of Navy Bear have moved to the summer sailing schedule, as of next week it will be open Friday and Saturdays.
The other key piece of feedback was in regards to the size/location of the current coffee cart setup. As we have mentioned previously, this is a temporary setup and Adam is working with the Squadron Committee on alternative designs.
Given the success of this survey we will be conducting further surveys in the future, so as a Board we can continue to work to improve the club and its operations.
RANSA is your club, so once again we thank you for your input into the survey.
The Squadron Committee
