Spread the word - it was just a fantastic opportunity lapped up by some very fortunate young sailors at the end of their school holidays....

How lucky are we!

Coming off the back of a huge dominating presence at the 2010 YNSW Youth Championships on Botany Bay on the October Long Weekend with 35 Flying 11 entries against 33 other double handed craft in the event, we scored big time yet again with 16 crews attending the 3 day F11 Training Camp hosted by Lane Cove 12'SSC.

The thirty two young sailors were mentored by three time Olympic sailor Karyn Gojnich teaming up with F11 National Champion coaches Andrew, Ali and Will Chapman. Even the breezes were favourable over the three days of coaching both in 'the room' and on the water. One of the top crews attending came off the water the first day and exclaimed,  "we will be doing ALL these camps in future - they are AMAZINGLY GOOD!"

The host club LC12'SSC did a tremendous job providing extra room for our camp, despite their overlap event hosting of a "learn to sail" program on day one, the normal running of Saturday's races with the 12fter having a reggatta to boot on the Upper Harbour the following day and a gusty 15-20kt sou-easter jumping in on the last day of training. They provided lunch for all the trainees each day, even catering to two crew with special allergic diet conditions with a minimum of fuss.

Spread the word - it was just a fantastic opportunity lapped up by some very fortunate young sailors at the end of their school holidays.

If you missed this one and now feel miffed, don't despair! We have another 3 day F11 Training Camp set for the 20th-22nd December at Middle Harbour where you can be part of a lifetime experience not to be missed. We even have a F11 Xmas Party scheduled after the middle day of training to sweeten the deal.
