2005-6 NSW Championships

The first four heats were hosted by Manly 16' Skiff Club on the waters of Sydney Sound - just inside the heads of Sydney Harbour - over the weekend of 3rd and 4th Dec 2005.

On day 1 in the blustery conditions of a strong westerly wind,  Andrew and Alison Chapman in 1329 - River Rat - were able to convincingly win the first two heats of the 2005-6 NSW State Championships from Byron White and Joel Morgan in 1339 - Whitewash.

On day 2 the winds lightened for a great day's sailing.  Andrew and Alison Chapman in 1329 - River Rat - were pushed a little harder but were able to win race 3 from Bonnie Shaw and Chris Saunders in 1212 - Attitude.  In race 4 the Chapman's were looking good for yet another win, however Will Mackenzie and Alex McFadyen in their borrowed F11 1302 - renamed The President's Boat for the day - were able to beat them over the line by a one metre.

PROVISIONAL Scratch Results for Heats 1 to 4 and the Race Summary for Round 1 are posted on the 'Results and Reports' menu.

See you all at Cronulla on 11th and 12th Feb 2006 for Round 2.
