Club facilities, activities and function hire options

Largs Bay Sailing Club

Largs Bay is a north western beach-side suburb of Adelaide approximately 20km from the city centre reached by driving down the Port Road.  There is also a 30 minute train service from Adelaide city to Largs station from where it is just a 500 metre walk west to the club.  A regular bus service also has a stop on Military Road near the station.  The sailing club is on the foreshore, approximately 200 metres north of the Largs Bay jetty on Lady Gowrie Drive at Largs Bay.

Largs Bay was founded in 1926 and has 90 years tradition as a family oriented sailing club, which has encouraged and facilitated competitive sailing events and provides sail training for youth and senior members.  The club has a friendly atmosphere, and caters for people from all walks of life who are interested in sailing and socialising.

The club conducts weekly club racing for sailors plus annual Club regattas and hosts regular State and National Championship regattas and provides squash courts and a range of social activitities for its members.
The club is especially orientated towards family memberships with many families having two or three generations, who sail and share their social activities at the club.
