Cancellation of Community Sailing October 16th

by DYC

With another Severe Weather Warning in place - as well as a current Gale warning - we have cancelled Community Sailing for today, Sunday October 16th.

Whilst the conditions are expected to improve and are not as strong as last Sunday, it is still not ideal for novice sailors, so we will cancel today's Community Sailing.
We are back on the water next Sunday, with the first round of our annual Short Course Racing Series. This is a fun way to learn or practice racing skills and is open to everyone. If you are interested in attending, please complete and return the entry form so that we can allocate boats. You can make the payment via direct deposit or pay cash on the day. The form and more information about Short Course Racing is available via this link to our website -

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.

Our new location

Sailing for Everyone!

Docklands Yacht Club overlooks Victoria Harbour with sweeping views of the Melbourne City skyline and the ever changing Docklands precinct.  From January 2016, sailing will take place from the 60 metre pontoon at our new premises - the Community Boating Hub, 912 Collins Street, adacent to the Library at Dock Square.  Community Sailing days are normally the second and fourth Sunday of each month year round from 11am but are subject to change (check Calendar page for more details). Everyone is welcome. We supply the boats, lifejackets and instruction.
