Remaining Short Course Series dates announced

by DYC

The 3 remaining dates in the 2015/16 Short Course Racing calendar have been announced.

February 21st, April 3 and May 15 will be the final dates for the series, which has seen several dates postponed and combined into the Australia Day Short Course regatta, due to our move to the new building.

Due to the absence of our Race Officer, the originally scheduled date of April 17th has been postponed to May 15th. Racing on May 15, 2016 will be conducted in conjunction with the Docklands Short Course Regatta

Competitors who were registered for the Australia Day Short Course Regatta are not required to pay for the 3 remaining dates. Anyone else who wishes to attend these 3 days, should complete the registration form attached to the Notice of Race. Any single day's racing costs $10, with the 3 remaining dates costing $30. Subject to availability, club boats may be available for non-Club member competitors for an additional fee of $10 per day.

Up to 8 short races may be scheduled on each day with races generally lasting 10-20 minutes. Short Course racing is a great, fun way to enjoy racing in a fun, friendly environment. It is perfect for sailors wishing to brush up their racing skills, and for newcomers to learn about and practice racing tactics.
