Six races in Liberties and 303s to kick off the season

by David Staley

Docklands Yacht Club Liberty and Hansa 303 sailors enjoyed six races on Sunday October 5 to get the short course racing season underway.

Conditions were ideal, with a 10-15 knot southerly and sunny skies.

Russell Phillips claimed 5 wins, while Cadeyrn Gaskin took the other in the Liberty fleet.  In the 303s, Christine Elliot and Louis Patterson share the finish line glory, but Christine leads by two points on the propgressive pointscore.

There is a long way to go yet, with 5 more racing days scheduled through until April next year.  Next racing is on November 16.
