Russell Phillips second in San Francisco
Docklands Yacht Club's Russell Phillips has finished second by a tie-break in the 2013 Noth American Hansa Class Championships in San Francisco. Russell led the event for the first two days, but expat Kiwi and now French National Paul Speight raced well on the final day and equalled Russel's pointscore, claiming the championship based on the number of first places.
Six races were held on San Francisco Bay with racing schedule just before the start of the Americas Cup. Shauna Phillips was safety boat controller during the series and also filed a series of race updates during the series. See the link below for the full reports.
