Short Course Racing at Docklands 2012-13
The Docklands Yacht Club Short Course Racing Series gets underway once again this October.
Scheduled over 7 Sundays through April next year, the Short Course Series is open to Access 2.3, Access 303, Liberty and other classes. Dates for racing are October 21, November 18 & December 16 in 2012 and January 20, February 17, March 17 & April 21 in 2013.
It is a great fun way to get a start or progress in racing and provides plenty of practice with starts and mark roundings, and helps to develop skills, technique and rules knowledge while enjoying some friendly competition. A limited number of club boats are available for members and visiting sailors.
The Series provides an ideal preparation for sailors competing in the Access Class Victorian Championships (March 1-3 at Ballarat Yacht Club) and the Australian Championships (March 29 - April 1 at the Canberra Sailing Club).
Informal training and coaching may be available in the mornings before racing.
