Short Course Racing Winners Decided
Series winners have been decided in the Docklands Yacht Club Short Course Racing that concluded on Sunday April 21. Racing was conducted one Sunday each month from November with a total of 30 races conducted for the 303 division.
Sarah Millsom combined with Cadeyrn Gaskin on the final day of racing for the season to secure the series win with a handsome margin from the rest of the competition. Sarah has been on the water for each day of racing in the series, whereas every other sailor was carrying "did not start" results in their scores. Bec West was second overall with Neil Patterson third.
The Liberty division did not race this weekend, so Russell Phillips retained the series lead and claimed the trophy from Cadeyrn Gaskin. 25 races were conducted in total.
Access 2.3s only raced on two days, with Sally Wilkinson claiming the rights in their 10 race series.
Final results are posted below.
The Docklands Short Course Series is a great fun way to get a start or progress in racing and provides plenty of practice with starts and mark roundings. This fun and friendly competition helps to develop skills, technique and rules knowledge. A limited number of club boats are made available for members and visiting sailors.
The 2013-14 Short Course Series will commence in October or November - watch the website for details.
