Please Note:
- Unless otherwise agreed by the two competing Member Clubs, the Umpires Fee/s for each game must be paid by the team listed as the 'Home Team' in the table above, even if club umpires have to be supplied or they are not playing at the Home Team's venue.
- When the appointments read "Club to supply one each", this means that both the home and away club are to supply one umpire each, as per the type of umpire specified in the document. The home club is still responsible for paying both club umpires.
- When the appointments read "Home Club to supply one", this means the the home club is to supply one umpire, as per the type of umpire specified in the document. The home club is still responsible for paying their club umpire.
- In the Under 18 Girls competition, the League appoints two Field Umpires and it is the responsibility of the two competing Member Clubs in each match to supply one Goal Umpire each. Boundary Umpires are not supplied for Under 18 Girls competition matches.
APPOINTMENT RULES
- A Member Club shall supply a field, boundary and/or goal umpire(s) when directed by The League. Such field umpire shall have the same powers accorded to them as if they were appointed by the Umpiring Manager.
- Failure to supply such umpire(s) as directed as per Clause 1 shall result in a fine being imposed to the Member Club.
- Field Umpires supplied by a Member Club shall remain in their Club’s back half of the playing field for the duration of all matches of The League.
- All field Umpires shall be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age.
- All boundary and goal umpires shall be a minimum of fourteen (14) years of age.
- The Umpiring Manager shall appoint and allocate umpires for matched conducted by The League.
- Any umpire appointed by the Umpiring Manager shall not appoint a substitute to fill their match duties unless authorised by the Umpiring Manager.
- An umpire appointed by the Umpiring Manager whom is unable to fulfil their match duties shall notify the Umpiring Manager prior to noon on the day prior to the match.
- Should a field umpire appointed by the Umpiring Manager or a Member Club appointed umpire fail to appear at a match ten minutes prior to the appointed starting time, the captains of the two teams playing shall, in consultation and agreement with any appointed field umpire of The League at the ground, agree upon terms for the match to proceed.
- The field umpire(s) agreed upon shall have the powers accorded to them as if they were appointed by the Umpiring Manager.
- In the event of no agreement being reached by the two captains and any appointed field umpire of The League at the ground, the home Member Club’s Match Day Official shall appoint a replacement field umpire(s) and the match shall proceed
- Should both field umpires fail to arrive, the match may proceed with only one field umpire provided the two captains agree on the choice of the sole field umpire.
- Should a boundary umpire(s) appointed by the Umpiring Manager fail to appear at a match ten minutes prior to the appointed starting time, the home Member Club is to appoint a boundary umpire(s).
- Should a goal umpire appointed by the Umpiring Manager fail to appear at a match ten minutes prior to the appointed starting time, the home Member Club is to appoint a goal umpire.
- Where two goal umpires appointed by the Umpiring Manager fail to appear at a match ten minutes prior to the appointed starting time, each Member Club is to appoint a goal umpire.
