Junior FAQ

How do I register?
We use an online registration system and you can find further information on this under the Junior Registration tab at the top of the page.

 

How much does it cost?
We charge our registration fees per team

 

When can I play?
Our Junior competition runs from September thru til December each year. Games are played on Monday afternoons at Rowland Park Daceyville.
Juniors interested in playing more touch can also enter our Senior Winter competition which runs from April thru til August each year on a Sunday morning.

 

How long does the comp run for?
The Junior competition is non competitive and runs for 10 rounds.
The Winter Senior Competition runs for 14 rounds followed by Semis, Finals and Grand finals.

 

When will I be playing?
Junior timeslots on Mondays are 4.10pm, 4.45pm and 5.20pm and 5.55pm.
The Winter competion games are played on Sunday mornings from 8.25am.

 

How do I know what time I play?
Once registrations close a draw will be formulated and posted on the website so you can check what time you play every week under the Fixtures and Results tab.

 

How long do the games go for?
Junior games are a straight 30 minute game. Teams may change ends after each try scored.

 

How many players can be in a team?
Under 10s play 5 a side on a half field. Recommend a maximum of 8 players per team.
12 years and over play 6 players are on a full field. Depending on fitness we recommend a maximum of 12 players per team.

 

Do I need to wear a uniform?
Everybody in your team must wear the same colour shirt with a number on the back. The colour, design, style etc. of the shirt is up to your team.

 

How can I become a referee?
If you are interested in refereeing, please email eaststouch@bigpond.com to let us know. Prior to the start of each Junior competition, we will conduct a Level 1 Referees course for new referees.

 

Can I join a team as an individual?
We ask that individuals email us at eaststouch@bigpond.com.  Sometimes there are enough individuals to create a team.
