George Robinson, Community Development Manager

George Robinson was part of the NC team in 2016 before heading to the US. George has only recently returned from Fresno State, where he was undertaking a Master’s in Sport Psychology with an emphasis in coaching education and athlete development. While at Fresno State, George was a Graduate Assistant for the Women’s Basketball Program during the 2016/17 season. George is currently Head Coach of Christchurch Girls High School Senior Team.
 
George, as NCBA's Community Development Manager, will be concentrating on the wider NC representative pathway, including preparing players and coaches for Mainlands, SIPT, Waitaki/Oamaru tournaments, U13 Regional Championships, Waitaha Canterbury Combined teams, and BBNZ National teams.

Julie Wood, Finance Administrator

Julie has had a long time passion for sport, particularly tennis, in which she still actively participates. Her professional experience inlcudes many years in the finance industry, inlcuding many years with the IRD, as well as local accountancy firms.  Julie lives in Rangiora and balances her time between family, sports and the air force cadets.

Megan Penney, Competitions Manager

Megan has been a part of the NC basketball community for many years now, with her children having been heavily involved in both playing, coaching and refereeing.  Megan herself has had many roles, including Committee member, Floor Controller and Manager's Co-ordinator.  Megan is highly organised, and very approachable.  Megan's responsibilities are to co-ordinate NC competitions, which include Friday Night Basketball, South Island Primary Tournament, and the 3x3 League.
