WWABi Talent Accelerator Programme TAP Term 1 2019

The WWABi Talent Accelerator Program is an additional morning skills session catering to our U13, U15 and U17 WWABi Representative athletes.Term 1 will consist of a six week program and sessions will be led by Auckland Dream Head Coach - Aik Ho. The main focus of Term 1 will involve fitness, Finishing and shooting technique.

Kiwi Hoops Course - 27 October 2018

We will be hosting our next Kiwi Hoops Course for Beginner and Developing Club and school coaches at Rutherford College on the 27 October from 10-2pm at the College new gym. Record registrations for national secondary-school basketball with 105% increase since 2011

The long-term and steady trend of increased secondary school basketball participation continues. Basketball New Zealand’s 2018 registration figures for their secondary school tournaments have shown another surge in numbers with 10% growth since last year and a record 385 school teams.

Since 2011, secondary school team entries have increased 105%, with an average annual increase of 11%.more

Waitakere West Auckland Basketball are putting in a team for an u11 Development tournament starting in May next month.

Just to let you all know, we have had a change in court allocation for our WEDNESDAY AND MAINLY THE THURSDAY competition. We have also had a team withdraw for the u17 girls competition so please double check your game times. Please ensure you check the draws online as of Tuesday 22nd May as the times for your games or courts may have changed.

If you log into our website: www.wwabi.org.nz then click on LEAGUE FIXTURES/RESULTS tab, you will see a drop down box on the right hand side.
