Master's training takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7.30pm during daylight savings. It is open to all members over 25 years, no prior skills or experience is required. All ranges of fitness and craft skills are catered for, from novices to elite competitors! You only need enthusiasm and a willingness to get wet as well as a desire to improve your fitness in an aquatic environment.
Activities include running, swimming, flags, ski's, paddling, life saving skills and more.
This season we will have a coaching roster which will allow us the opportunity to learn from many skilled members of our club. A roster will be available closer to the start date.
An opportunity exists for Masters to compete at the State Championships in February for those interested in competing, however to compete you must be a patrolling member.
The Masters vs Seniors Challenge will also be held and is sure to generate some friendly rivalry amongst the groups.
Monthly dinners and various social get togethers are held during the season, as well as the End of Season social event.

The Mount Martha Icebergers has grown from humble beginnings in 2007 to a large group of hardy souls who brave the waters of Port Phillip Bay right throughout the year. With water temperatures varying between 9 to 21’c it takes a special kind of mental aptitude to make it right through a year without a wetsuit. Those that do make it through are rewarded with great memories, improved fitness and their name on the clubs honour board at the end of the season. The Icebergers also welcome boarders, ski paddlers and swimmers who require the extra comfort of a wetsuit into their fold. At the end of the day it’s about staying fit and socialising with like minded people. Meeting every Saturday & Sunday at 8am and at varying times midweek you’re sure to find a time that suits your schedule to join in.
