It is with much sadness that NSFA advises that well-known local referee Charles Tiedt has passed away after collapsing while refereeing yesterday. Charles suffered a suspected heart attack 5 minutes into a Men"s All Age Division 2 Reserve Grade match at Asquith Park and despite the efforts of a number of players and spectators at the ground was unable to be revived.more

Northbridge FC prepare to move into Premier League

Despite recent success in the Football NSW State Leagues Northbridge has struggled when it has come to the NSFA’s Premier League. The most recent effort in the top division lasted just 3 years. Entering in 2009 before being bundled out in 2011 with just 3 wins in that final season.more

Last Sunday the Northern Tiger U17 girls clinched the NSW PL2 Premiership with one round of the competition still to go. The winning squad is the youngest team in the competition with all but 2 of the girls eligible to play in U17s again next year.more

On Saturday the Northern Tigers U15 and U17 girls both crowned an incredibly successful season by winning the NSW Premier League 2 Grand Finals. In both games the Northern Tiger girls faced the Sutherland Sharks and in both games the Tigers girls dominated possession and the score sheets reflected wins of 4/2 and 1/0 respectively.more

A new online resource for coaches has been released by FFA. The site has information from discovery phase (U6-U9) to performance phase (17 and above), information about coach education and a run through of the new national curriculum and ideas for practices to use in training.
