NZ Knights sign two more

New Zealand Knights has announced the signing of two local players to add to its squad for the inaugural A-League.

Cole Tinkler and Jeremy Brockie, both of whom have been playing in the New Zealand Football Championship, have signed for the Knights after impressing the club's football manager John Adshead.

Brockie, who represented New Zealand U20's earlier this year, said he was relishing the chance to play in the A-League.

"I am pleased to be signed with the Knights and I am looking forward to going to Auckland and playing with the more experienced players and learning from them," he said.

Tinkler, who has played for local clubs Melville United, Tauranga City, Waitakere City and Waikato FC, also said he was looking forward to life at his new club.

"I am looking forward to taking on this opportunity, to play with the big names like the Danny Hay and the others," he said. "I am very excited."

Adshead meanwhile said he believes the Knights could be the start of big things for both players.

"Both players have impressed me over the last few months and have shown the quality that we are looking," he said. "I feel that both these players have the potential to go further and that joining the Knights could be just the first step in their football careers."
