The current winter competition has been increased in duration by 2 rounds. The Semi Finals will now be played on Thursday 3rd August and the Grand Finals the following week the 10th August, 2017.
The Semi Finals format will be 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 in each division with the 2 winners playing in the Grand final.
At our Thursday nights AGM Daniel Wassens (President), Vicki Wassens (Secretary, Myles Thompson (Vice President) and Catie Thompson (Treasurer) stood down from these positions for a deserved break. Winter comps commence this Thursday, 11th May. The draw will be on the website in the coming days. The 4 Mens Teams and 4 Mixed Open A Grade will be a combined Division of 8. The 11 Mixed Open B Grade teams will play in their own division. There will be 2 timeslots, 6pm start and 6.40pm start. Games will be 30 minutes straight, no half time. We have been asked to join the Hornsby Lions Touch Football Association in the Boots 4 PNG program. If anyone has pre loved touch / sports shoes or touch shirts /singlets could you bring them into the control room at touch on a Thursday afternoon for the next 5 weeks. We will then hand them to Hornsby who will transport them to Brisbane for the use of less fortunate people in PNG. Thankyou.more
Our Association has won it's first trophy at a major NSW tournament with the Womens 20's at the 2016 NSW State Cup. Congratulations ladies. Our Association had Mixed opens, Senior Mixed, Mens 20's and Womens 20's completing at the NSW Touch Football Associations premier seniors tournament. If there is lightning near by at the time of kickoff or during games we will decide then the appropriate decision.more
If you are interested in trialling for Northern Eagles National Touch League senior age divisions (30's, 40's 45's etc )you are invited to attend trials at Advocate Park Coffs Harbour, Saturday 8 October, 2016, commencing at 11am. Trials for open divisions (Mens/Womens T League/Open mixed) are at the same venue and time on Saturday 12 November. EOI are to be completed at the Eagles website.more

Congratulations to Brin Trisley and Wulaaran Walker who have both been selected to play for NSW in the Australian All Schools National championships in Perth in October. Both were selected from the recent NSW PSSA State Finals in Coffs Harbour whilst playing for Polding and North Coast respectively. Go you Falcons.more
Matiese is set to play for the NSW U16's all schools team in the National Championships in Perth in October. Matiese was selected from the NSWCHS team after they won the State Final 4-0 over NSW CCC. She will play against all of the other Australian States and Territories, but has her sights set on downing Queensland in particular. Well done Matiese and good luck. Go you Falcon.more

Congratulations to our Claire Spain who has been selected into the NSW State Development Squad (Girls 18's). Claire was selected from the Junior Regional Championships where she was playing for Northern Eagles Girls 18's. She becomes our first Macksville Falcons female junior to be selected at the full State Level. Jai Doolan was our first male to be selected which was in 2014.more
Matiese Trisley has continued her outstanding touch football journey being selected in the NSWCHS opens team. This puts her in the top 14 girls in the public high school system in NSW and at only 15 years of age. Our association is so proud of her achievements. Our representatives in the Northern Eagles 14/16/18's participated in a very tough tournament of touch on the weekend, but all appeared to enjoy themselves and I'm sure learn't a lot. The best performing Eagles teams were the girls 14's with Lucy Spain who lost the semi final and the boy's 16's with Beau Langford who made the grand final, going down to Hunter Western Hornets. Congratulations to Damian Cross (Damo) who was awarded his Level 4 Referee Badge at the recent State Cup. Damian has worked hard to achieve this level which included attending many tournaments across NSW and Queensland where he has been assessed by the NSW State Referees panel. We are hoping Damo will continue on over the next couple of years and progress to the top Level 6.more
There has been a marked increase in the number of players arguing with referees this season. Rule 18 states that players are not to talk to the referee. The Captain may respectfully and politely enquire briefly with the referee on decisions. Players arguing with referees and Captains who are not respectful and polite can be sent from the field.more
As per our rules and Touch Football Australia Playing Rules 7th edition any player that is sent from the field for the remainder of the game (not sin bin) by the referee will serve an automatic minimum 2 games suspension. The Committee may increase this suspension period for more serious misconduct as it sees fit. The appeals process costs $200. See our document links for appeals process.more
Please be aware that NSW Health - Tobacco Compliance Officers will now be issuing fines to people found smoking at sporting events.
Smoking has been banned at sport venues in spectator areas since 7 January 2013 under the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000.
The fine for smoking at a sporting event is $550 to the individual smoker.
