SUPER SERIES TO HAVE BREAK OVER HOLIDAYS

The Super Series will break for two weeks over the school holidays. The concept so far has been very successful with results very close in all but one game last week due to NYC players being absent. Hulk is yet to score their first win but have kept in touch with their opposition each week losing by only one or two touchdowns. The aim is to provide good, even, strong, fast, intense games.....more

LADIES DRESSING ROOM UPGRADE

MASTERS MEN LADDER AFTER ROUND 15 ON 18 MAY 2016

The 14 week program allows for the ladder to continue until the normal rounds finish in week 14. The Masters comp is continuing for two more round games and hence, the ladder needs to be manually updated. ROCKHAMPTON LOSES TOUCH NOBILITY

The Touch community is saddened by the loss of long time RTA Administrator, Ron Etherden who passed away yesterday, Thursday 5th March 2015 after a fairly short illness. You will be allocated a game straight before or after you play (unless a game break is requested) and may not be required every week. MASTERS DIV 4 GRAND FINAL PLAYED

Masters Div 4 Grand Final was played last night, a week earlier than remainder of the Masters comp. The game between Footy Geeks and Dirty Dozen saw Dirty Dozen come out on top 5 touchdowns to 0. Glenn Menzies would have gone close to player of the final with three touchdowns.....more

NSW TAKE OUT THE 2014 STATE OF ORIGIN SERIES

In what was a very exciting and competitive State of Origin Series, it was NSW who came out on top to take home the State of Origin Shield.

There were nine divisions still in contention going into game three but NSW sealed the deal by taking out the prestigious Men's and Women's Open divisions.more

The forecast does not bode well for the start of fixtures this coming Monday and Wednesday. Keep an eye on this website and also on our Facebook page (Rockhampton Touch Football) for news on cancellations.
Most times, a decision will not be made until around 3pm on the day of fixtures. Please do not assume games are called off if its raining at your place - often its dry here!!more

CHANGE IN FORMAT FOR MASTERS FOR REMAINDER OF SEASON

With the full round of games being completed last night where all Masters teams have played each other once, we now break into divisions in this comp according to ladder positions. Teams have now been split into three divisions (A, B, C) and will have one complete round of games before the semi finals commence on Wednesday 4th June. Please check the fixtures on this site for possible changes.more

If you are looking to see when you need to referee, go to the Referee Draw - Game Allocation tab - click on the date for the fixtures. If allocations are not there, check again until they are. If you are required, you will be in the timeslot straight before or after you play (unless a game break was requested). If your name is not listed, you are not required that night. ROCKY TOUCH REGISTERED WITH GET STARTED FUNDING PROGRAM

Rockhampton Touch is registered with the Qld Gov. "Get Started" funding program which gives financial assistance for children from 5 to 18 who can least afford it to participate in sports. Club or team organisers who receive a voucher (sample attached) can accept that as payment of fees and pass on to this association. Pls read more..more

Rocky Touch has been selected to participate in the AMart Community Kickback Program.  Under this program the association can earn 5% of your purchases at AMart All Sports.  You'll receive access to great member prices and other initiatives and the association will receive 5% credit.

You will need to join up in the North Rockhampton store (not here online) to associate yourself with Rocky Touch so we can receive the 5% credit.

TRY YOUR HAND AT REFEREEING

We are urgently in need of more REEFEREES for Monday and Wednesday fixtures. We encourage everyone to have a go. Refereeing is an excellent way of achieving fitness and better knowledge of the rules.

Don't sit back and expect others to referee your games if you're not prepared to give them the same courtesy. Refereeing is not for everyone but you'll never know if you don't give it a go.more

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

RTA has always worked under a code of conduct and from the commencement of the 2009 Winter season, this code of conduct will be more strictly applied.

This is to ensure that EVERYONE can participate in Touch in a competitive but enjoyable environment free from any form of abuse and/or harassment.

Copies of the Code of Conduct for All Participants will be distributed with the fixture books to all teams. It will also be available at the canteen, upstairs in admin, at the new Rocky Touch office and on this website in the documents tab.

We urge all teams to ensure everyone attending the Cyril Connell Fields (players, coaches, spectators etc)are made aware of the expectations of their behaviour as any breaches may incur penalties.
