McEvoy Oval Building - Graffiti and passive surveillance

Council has recently removed graffiti & will apply new anti-graffiti coating on Monday 23rd. Overnight security will be present from Thursday-Sunday 6pm-6am, but if any members can add to passive surveillance in the daytime by walking past or dropping into McEvoy - that would be great. (NB report issues, DON'T CONFRONT - as even the physical presence of people can be a good deterrent.) Thank you!more

Round 14 (8th February) - draw issues

Dear Members
The game times for Round 14 (8th February) are incorrect - as there is no 7:45pm timeslot (which we obviously need!). We are trying to fix the issue, but if we can't fix it in the system we will issue a manual draw on the website. NB we won't change which teams are playing each other, just the times at which they play (to include all 4 timeslots).
Regards PTA Committeemore

Touch back at normal time tonight!

State Cup 2016 - Women's 20's preview!

The most improved side this year, our Women’s 20s, have been impressive at training and with a stronger line-up than in previous years they are not there to make-up numbers.
With an average age of just 17 they will certainly need senior players to lead the team, but are very capable of giving it to the big guns – starting on Friday! Believe in yourselves girls!

Good luck to our Women’s 20’s!more

State Cup 2016 - Men's 20's preview!

Rocks or Diamonds? That is the question for our Men’s 20s team. Despite a couple of late withdrawals the team has skill, the smarts and the passion to deliver diamonds and dig deep into this tournament. Their coach has the belief in them, pitting them against Wests Men’s Open in their final training run – so it’s up to you guys! Be the team you are capable of being!

Good luck to our Men’s 20s!more

State Cup 2016 - Mixed Open preview!

A year off, a new-look team and renewed enthusiasm should see the Mixed Open firmly in the picture when the whips are cracking and there will be some confidence about re-living their 2013 heroics. Quality females is a bonus and even though their big guns in Goodwin, Duff & Weekes aren’t getting any younger, as a team they have the weaponry to get the job done!

Good luck to our Mixed Open team!more

State Cup 2016 - Womens Open preview!

A mix of youth and experience should see our Women’s team go close to a repeat of last year’s second place, but can they go one better?

Despite losing NSW reps in Tucker & McTernan the injection of youth and enthusiasm of the team’s new recruits has the team feeling positive about a solid campaign, despite meeting both Easts and Wests on Friday.

Good luck to our Women’s Open team!more

State Cup 2016 - Men's Over 40's preview!

With 2016 being the 40th State Cup, will that be an omen for our Men’s 40s Team? Former NSW Touch legends and NRL player’s names have fallen off the Men’s 40s playing list, but in a huge boost for the team, Peter Healey, believed to be the oldest PTA State Cup debutant at 41 years of age, comes straight out of the paddock and onto the paddock… so to speak.

Good luck to our Men’s 40’s team!more

State Cup 2016 - Men's Over 50's preview!

Can the Men’s 50s shed their “bridesmaid” tag and take out an elusive State Cup after being runners-up Regionals & Country in 2016?
With Snappa at the helm as coach can he steer the “Good Ship Wobbly Pops” on a straight course to State Cup glory? With new faces, record attendance at training and a re-invigorated playing group, this year is as good a chance as any!

Good luck to our Men’s 50s!more
